REGINA, Sask. – The stage is set for an exciting gold medal game at the 2010 Esso Cup between the Notre
Dame Hounds (West) and the Thunder Bay Queens (Ontario). The game can be seen on Saturday live on TSN2, with
the puck dropping at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

Both teams earned berths into the final of Canada’s National Female Midget Championship by coming out on
top in semifinal action Friday. Thunder Bay edged the Edmonton Thunder (Pacific) 2-1, while Notre Dame shut
out the Regina Rebels (Host) 5-0.
The Queens and Hounds were the top two teams in round-robin play, with Thunder Bay winning the
head-to-head match-up between the two teams 5-2 on Thursday afternoon in the final preliminary game for
both.
Edmonton and Regina will play for bronze, with the 10 a.m. CT game available for viewing online through
FASTHockey at hockeycanada.fasthockey.com.
Access Communications Co-operative Limited, a local cable television provider in Regina, will also broadcast
the bronze medal game.
The gold medal game is a regional rematch of the 2009 final in Calgary, Alta. The Notre Dame Hounds are
trying to become the second-consecutive West Region team to win the National Female Midget Championship,
joining the Westman Wildcats, who beat the Scarborough Sharks in last year’s gold medal game.
